MicrobeBio® Integrated Tomato Production Program
Biological Nutrition • Root Health • Crop Protection • Precision Nano Nutrition™
For optimal tomato production, I recommend using MicrobeBio products as an integrated soil-to-harvest program, rather than treating nutrition, roots, insects, diseases, and fruit development separately. The objective is to establish strong soil biology and roots early, maintain balanced nutrition through vegetative growth, protect the crop biologically, and then intensify reproductive and fruit-quality nutrition from flowering through harvest.
The program below is based on the MicrobeBio product specifications and rates we have established for the portfolio. Exact applications should still be adjusted to tomato variety, soil/tissue analysis, climate, irrigation system, disease pressure, and local product registrations.
Recommended Standard Rates Per Hectare
| MicrobeBio Product | Recommended Rate | Primary Role |
| Rhizo Activator™ | 50 kg/ha | Root-zone nutrition, humic support, AMF |
| Nature Vigor™ | 5 kg/ha | Humic/organic soil conditioning |
| Aqua Activator™ | 500 g/ha | Biological/root-zone activation |
| Hydro Activator™ | 10 L/ha | Biological nutrition and plant vigor |
| Foliar™ | 250 mL/ha | Foliar nutrition |
| X1™ | 500 g/ha | Root health and biological root-zone protection |
| X3™ | 500 g/ha | Biological insect management |
| X5™ | 500 g/ha | Biological disease management |
| Precision Nano Nutrients™ | 250 mL/ha | Targeted precision nutrition |

| Nature Venom™ | 500 mL/ha in ~300 L water | Botanical pest-management support when required |
| Green Fury™ | 500 mL/ha in ~300 L water | Additional high-pressure crop-protection support when required |
For most biological soil and foliar applications, use approximately 300–500 L/ha of clean, non-chlorinated water, subject to label directions and equipment.
Stage 1 — Pre-Plant Soil Preparation
Objective
Establish biological activity, improve the rhizosphere, support nutrient availability, and prepare the root zone before transplanting.
Recommended program
Rhizo Activator™ — 50 kg/ha
Apply into the planting zone, bed, or root-zone area before or at transplanting.
Rhizo Activator provides a nutritional and biological foundation with N-P-K, calcium, iron, humic substances, and AMF.
Nature Vigor™ — 3 kg/ha
Apply through the soil/root zone.
Nature Vigor provides concentrated humic and organic support intended to improve the environment in which beneficial microorganisms and roots develop.
X1™ — 500 g/ha
Apply through drip irrigation or as a root-zone drench.
X1 is particularly important at establishment because its consortium includes beneficial Bacillus, Paenibacillus, Pseudomonas, Streptomyces, Trichoderma, and AMF organisms.
Aqua Activator™ — 300 g/ha
Integrate into the biological establishment program.
The concept
Nature Vigor + Rhizo Activator + Aqua Activator + X1
creates the biological foundation before aggressive vegetative growth begins.
Stage 2 — Transplanting & Root Establishment
Approximately 0–3 Weeks After Transplant
The priority now becomes rapid root establishment while minimizing transplant stress.
Root application
Aqua Activator™ — 300 g/ha
Nature Vigor™ — 3 kg/ha where needed
Apply to the root zone using non-chlorinated water.
X1 should remain a cornerstone of the early tomato program because healthy roots improve the plant’s ability to exploit water and nutrients.
Biological nutrition
Hydro Activator™ — 8 L/ha
Begin the biological nutrition program once plants are established.
Precision nutrition
Precision Nano Nutrients™ nano element (Zn, Fe, Mn, B, Cu, Mo) — 250 mL/ha
Select nutrients according to soil/tissue analysis and crop symptoms rather than automatically applying every micronutrient.
At establishment, particular attention may be given to:
Nano Phosphorus™ — root establishment and energy metabolism
Nano Zinc™ — enzyme and growth processes
Nano Calcium™ — developing tissues and structural nutrition
Nano Magnesium™ — chlorophyll/photosynthetic nutrition
Stage 3 — Rapid Vegetative Growth
Approximately Weeks 3–6
At this point the tomato plant needs to rapidly develop its canopy while maintaining a strong root-to-shoot balance.
Recommended program
Hydro Activator™ — 8 L/ha
Use as the primary biological nutrition/biostimulant component.
Foliar™ — 250 mL/ha
Apply as foliar nutritional support.
Precision Nano Nutrients™ — nano element (Zn, Fe, Mn, B, Cu, Mo) 250 mL/ha
Choose according to plant requirements.
Potential priorities include:
These nutrients are particularly relevant to chlorophyll formation, enzyme systems, photosynthesis, and vigorous vegetative development.
Continue root biology
X1™ — 300 g/ha as required by the crop program.
The goal is not simply a large canopy. It is:
strong roots + balanced vegetative growth + high photosynthetic capacity.
Stage 4 — Pre-Flower & Flower Initiation
This is one of the most important nutritional transitions in tomato production.
Excessive vegetative growth at this point can work against reproductive development, so the program should transition toward flowering, fruit set, and reproductive nutrition.
Recommended program
10 kg Upshot™
Introduce the flowering/fruit-development program according to the approved label rate.
Boron becomes particularly important around flowering because of its role in reproductive development.
Consider pairing according to plant analysis with:
Nano Cal™ 250 ml
Nano element ™(Zn, Fe, Mn, B, Cu, Mo) 250 ml
Biological protection
Apply:
X5™ — 500 g/ha
according to disease risk and label.
The period leading into flowering can justify a preventative biological disease-management strategy rather than waiting for substantial disease pressure.
Stage 5 — Flowering & Fruit Set
Objective
Maximize successful reproductive development while maintaining plant health and balanced vegetative growth.
Recommended program
Upshot™ 8 kg
- Foliar™ 250 mL/ha
- Precision Nano Cal™
This becomes MicrobeBio’s core reproductive package.
The Andermatt tomato guideline you provided likewise treats first flowering and fruit set as distinct nutritional intervention points, including repeat applications during extended flowering.
For MicrobeBio, the advantage is the ability to build a broader reproductive program around Upshot, Foliar, and targeted Precision Nano nutrients.
Stage 6 — Fruit Development & Sizing
Once fruit has successfully set, nutritional priorities change again.
The plant is now supporting:
continued flowering + existing fruit + new fruit + vegetative tissue + roots simultaneously.
This makes balanced nutrition especially important.
Recommended program
Hydro Activator™ — 8 L/ha
Continue biological nutrition.
Precision Nano program
Shift the emphasis toward:
Nano Cal™ 250 ml
Nano P™ 250 ml
with other micronutrients added according to analysis.
Calcium deserves special attention
Tomatoes have a particularly important relationship with calcium management because inadequate calcium delivery to developing fruit is associated with blossom-end rot.
But calcium application alone does not guarantee correction. Root health, irrigation consistency, transpiration, salinity, nutrient balance, and calcium movement within the plant also matter.
That is where MicrobeBio can make a strong systems-based agronomic argument:
healthy roots + consistent water management + balanced nutrition + targeted calcium management is more complete than simply applying additional calcium.
Stage 7 — Fruit Fill, Ripening & Harvest
At fruit fill, the objective shifts toward fruit weight, uniformity, quality, firmness, sugars, and harvest performance while maintaining enough plant vitality for continued production.
Recommended program
Upshot™ 8 kg
Make this a central component of the late reproductive program.
Combine with:
Foliar™ — 250 mL/ha
and targeted:
Nano P™ 250Ml
Nano Cal™ 250 ml
according to crop analysis and production objectives.
The program should support:
fruit sizing → fruit filling → firmness → uniformity → quality → harvest performance.
For indeterminate tomatoes with continuous flowering and harvest, rotate the reproductive nutrition program according to the ongoing fruit load rather than treating flowering as a single event.
Biological Disease Protection Program
Tomatoes are vulnerable to a wide range of root, stem, foliar, and fruit diseases.
X1™ — Root-Zone Protection
Use 500 g/ha as the foundation of the biological root-management program.
X1 is particularly appropriate for maintaining the rhizosphere and supporting management of root-zone biological challenges.
X5™ — Disease Management
Use 500 g/ha according to label and disease pressure.
X5 should be positioned as the primary MicrobeBio biological disease-management product.
Rather than waiting for severe disease, integrate it into the preventative crop program, particularly during environmental conditions favorable to disease.
Green Fury™
Introduce where an additional crop-protection intervention is appropriate under higher disease pressure, extended humidity/rainfall, or outbreak conditions, subject to its registered uses.
Biological Insect Management
Tomatoes can face:
whiteflies
thrips
aphids
spider mites
leafminers
caterpillars
Tuta absoluta
fruit/bollworms
and other insect pests depending on geography.
X3™ — 500 g/ha
X3 should form the biological foundation of MicrobeBio’s tomato insect-management program.
Its consortium architecture includes biological agents such as:
Beauveria
Metarhizium
Bacillus thuringiensis
Chromobacterium subtsugae
Lecanicillium
Isaria
This provides multiple biological organisms within the IPM strategy.
Nature Venom™ — 500 mL/ha
Use in approximately 300 L/ha of water where botanical pest-management intervention is needed and permitted by the product label.
This can provide an additional layer for pests such as sucking insects/mites where registered.
The conceptual strategy becomes:
X3™ Biological Control
↓
Nature Venom™ Botanical Intervention
↓
Ongoing scouting
↓
Repeat or escalate according to pest pressure and label

Recommended positioning
MicrobeBio® Integrated Tomato Production System combines soil biology, beneficial microorganisms, biological nutrition, Precision Nano Nutrition™, biological crop protection, and reproductive support into one coordinated program from transplant through harvest. Instead of responding to individual crop problems in isolation, the program is designed to support the entire soil-root-plant system throughout every stage of tomato production.
For commercial tomato production, I would make X1 + Rhizo Activator + Nature Vigor + Aqua Activator the root foundation; Hydro Activator + Foliar the season-long nutritional foundation; X3 + X5 the biological protection foundation; and then progressively introduce Upshot + targeted Precision Nano nutrients as the crop moves from vegetative growth into flowering, fruit set, sizing, and harvest.
